FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 1, 2012 -James Olver, MHA, CEO of Horizon Family Medical Group announced today Dr. Mark S. Madis, Gynecologist of Warwick, New York has joined Horizon's expanding family.
In addition to serving as Physician Reviewer at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, Dr. Madis is President of the hospital's Medical Staff and Chairman of the Executive Committee. He has practiced most recently from offices in Vernon, New Jersey but previously has seen patients at various Orange County offices. He now joins Drs. Alex Joanow and Dominic Aro (Women's Health) at Horizon Family Medical Group, 30 Hatfield Lane, Suite 105, Goshen, NY. Drs. Joanow and Aro pride themselves on providing comprehensive and caring gynecological and obstetric services to women of all ages at one central location.

Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, Dr. Madis is an active member of the community. He has been appointed the Assistant Division Surgeon of the New York State Police and is the Medical Director of the Pine Island Volunteer Ambulance Squad. A helicopter pilot, Dr. Madis is also an FAA Aerospace Medical Examiner. His professional affiliations include the American College of Gynecological Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Madis fulfilled undergraduate requirements at Ohio State University and Medical Degree at Hackensack Medical Center followed by an Internship at Englewood Hospital. He is a Galloway Fellow in Gynecological Oncology from the Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
